Amarnath Yatra

The Amarnath cave in the Kashmir Himalaya holds an ice lingam that forms naturally each year. The yatra runs for a few weeks in July and August and is managed by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB). Registration, a compulsory health certificate and the shrine board's age rules apply to every pilgrim.
